Meet RCT’s Founder

Dr. Ronald Taylor

Dr. Ronald Taylor brings over 25 years of endodontic expertise to RCT Endodontics. He is the founder of our wonderful practice! Still today, he prides himself on helping his patients save their teeth painlessly.

Dr. Taylor has been appointed by the American Board of Endodontics College of Diplomates to serve as a mentor to board-eligible endodontists, whereby he conducts several lectures and seminars on modern endodontics throughout the nation.

In addition, he served as an associate professor at Howard University College of Dentistry and as an appointed member of the Dean’s Faculty as a clinical assistant professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.  He has been a mock board examiner for endodontic residents in the United States Navy PostGraduate Endodontic Residency Program, the Medical College of Virginia, Boston University and the University of Maryland

Dr. Taylor is an alumnus of the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida and he continues his study at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda with the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club, where he previously served as president.

Dr. Taylor is proud to be a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists. He was also selected to Washingtonian Magazine's List of Top Dentists consistently for several years.

Committed to giving back to the communities RCT service, Dr. Taylor founded the Trident Save-a-Smile Foundation.

A native of the Bronx, New York with Caribbean heritage, Dr. Taylor decided to call Maryland home after dental school. Since he was a young boy, he wanted to become a dentist, but it took dental school for him to realize that endodontics is where he wanted to devote his time and talents.

When he isn’t saving patients from pain -- Dr. Taylor enjoys sporting events, traveling, listening to soca music or deep sea fishing. Dr. Taylor is married to his lovely wife, Chalissa, and is the proud father of two beautiful children, Kayla and Evan.

Fun fact about Dr. Taylor: he used to be a drummer and still considers drumming his first true love. Lucky for RCT Endodontics, he pursued another passion instead. We are grateful for the time, talent, leadership, and care he devotes to our patients and team.
