Dr. Orgel has been heavily involved with dental research. He worked as an intern at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) at the National Institute of Health (NIH) and has had multiple publications. He also placed second at the American Association of Endodontics Annual Conference for his oral presentation on the relationship between oral bacteria and endodontic treatment.

Dr. Orgel practices in the Bowie and Silver Spring locations.. He is a specialist and member of the American Association of Endodontists. In addition, he is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Association. 

Dr. Orgel continues his learning at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda with the Edward C. Penick Endodontic Study Club. He is also a founding member of the Premier Study Club in Bethesda and RCT’s Beers with Peers Study Club.

Dr. Orgel is married to his wonderful wife, Rachel. When he isn’t sharing his expertise or caring for patients, Dr. Orgel might be found playing with his dog, Bentley, enjoying a round of tennis, completing a crossword puzzle, cooking or maybe sneaking in an occasional nap.

His favorite words to live by are, “If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late, and if you're late, you're fired!”
